I bought this coop to hold four-five chickens. I wanted a coop that was modular so I could start with a few chicks and add a couple more later.
First, the box arrived damaged. There was a big hole in the corner. It didn't look like anything was missing.
We then laid out all the parts. The good news was that there was a parts list included in the instructions. The bad news was that there were eleventy million pieces! Plus 100 some-odd screws of varying sizes. We realized were were only short some screws, so we just bought some at the hardware store. We read through the instructions. Before you begin, you must run a bead of construction adhesive around each plywood piece! That took a while. Then you must prime each piece, without painting over the pencil lines drawn!!! That took even longer. I honestly don't understand why they couldn't seal and prime everything before shipping.
Finally we assembled the coop. The instructions were a little vague, but we figured it out. It took us about two or three days total. Then the painting took another few days. Don't expect to put chickens in this coop the day it arrives.
I also wish there was more trim to make it look prettier. I realize it's just a chicken coop, but a few pieces of trim would really make it look nicer. I may put some on myself.
Negatives aside, it is very sturdy. It came with some nice sturdy hardware. A predator is going to have a hard time getting into this coop. And it's very well designed. From the nesting box, to the two rounded nesting bars, the double thickness chicken wire, the clean out tray, all are really nice features.
I hope this coop lasts, because after all the time putting this coop together, there is no way in heck I am taking it apart again to add on to it. But it's large enough to hold another two or three chicken easily.
I would recommend this coop, but with the caveat that one should expect that there will be a lot of prep and assembly time involved.

This is a local company in my hometown of Nevada City, CA with talented ownership. They make an excellent product with a great value. I bought this coop and integrated it into my home garden with 4 happy chickens, safe from predators, making great eggs. Very satisfying, and I highly recommend this investment in your very own backyard healthy daily protein supply!

These coops are so amazing and easy to use. Our chickens couldn't be happier and of course happy chickens mean beautiful eggs!
